How To Be Truly Effective In The Work Of God

The equipping that takes place in the church is what leads believers to shine brightly, walk in the anointing and complete their God-given assignment on this earth. It’s important to see the importance of serving and contributing to the church, especially where you’re planted at. It’s important that all believers are united to build together, rather than being so focused on one’s own aspirations. As Elisha served Elijah, more of the work of God could then be done. And as Elisha valued the work of God and served Elijah, God could then entrust him with the anointing.

When God calls you to serve in some way at your church, it’s important to devote yourself and see the importance of the work God has called you to. Everything flows from the work of God that is done at the church.

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."
