2:22Now PlayingAs a spiritual daughter of a prophet from Africa (@GeorDavieTV) and a pastor of a global ministry with members from 171 nations, I have seen how big a problem ethnocentrism is in the Western church. I’ve seen so many attacks and so much division among believers that stem from judgment and a tendency to look down on other cultures. It’s heartbreaking when cultural differences become a reason for criticism rather than an opportunity to honor the beautiful diversity within the body of Christ.
In this season, God is opening eyes, and I pray that hearts soften and humility comes so that there can be unity in the body.
I’m proud to be a spiritual daughter of a prophet who is from Africa. I’m honored and thankful to God to pastor a global church with so many beautiful cultures. We can all learn from each other and behold the beauty of God’s image expressed through people of every culture and background.
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”
Acts 4:33–35
