Quantum mechanics went off the rails when it tried to explain wavefunction collapse.

Electrons spinning around the nucleus should radiate energy and collapse inward in 10^-11 seconds. Classical physics predicted this. Experiments proved it wrong. Instead of fixing the problem, physicists just said the quantum world works differently "because of reasons."

Hal Puthoff's 1987 paper offered a different answer: zero-point energy. The electron does radiate energy, but it's constantly replenished by the zero-point field. It's an equilibrium. The zero-point energy field is the energy reservoir.

Sean Carroll admits the problem exists but claims electrons don't move because "the electron IS the cloud."

That's not a solution...it's just redefining the problem.
