A flat torus unfolds into a sheet where the right side connects to the left and the top connects to the bottom. Objects moving through it do not appear to teleport from their own perspective. They just keep going straight. That is the secret. The plane did not teleport. Space folded around it. From inside nothing weird happened at all. The passengers just kept moving forward. It is not a Star Trek wormhole that opens like a mouth. It is a geometry effect. Two flat spacetimes bent together until they become continuous. Negative time proves the same thing. Change the refractive index of the medium and the particle goes through faster than light. Same physics. Same trick.
