We finally know where the eastside library is going to be! The commission chose 1030 Barnett Shoals as the final site, which is an undeveloped plot already owned by the ACC government.
“This site will end up being a wonderful place. It’s right there by Carriage Lane. It abuts to Clarke Gardens and also the entrance to the Greenway.”
The other potential sites ended up not being feasible, either logistically or financially.
“Congratulations, eastside, we’ve got a library.”
The new eastside library is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
