When county commissioners in Athens, Georgia were considering a routine request for a new apartment building, a fascinating conversation broke out.
“Exactly how many more apartment complexes like this are we going to approve til there is absolutely no place for Athenians to live in?”
“I predict in ten years, no one will be able to say ‘I grew up in Athens.’ We don’t owe it to anybody to keep building.”
