Tomorrow, a line of strong to severe storms moves in between 8 AM-2PM. Damaging wind, heavy rain, and lightning will be the primary threats, but some small hail and a brief tornado can’t be completely ruled out.
For Atlanta, we are still on track to see storms between about 11AM to 2 PM. It looks like some showers and storms will trail behind the main line. We will continue to watch for maybe an isolated strong storm even for the afternoon commute. The overall severe risk for Monday is a level 3 of 5 on the severe risk scale.
Beyond the storms we turn our attention to the heat. Highs go into the mid to upper 80s Wednesday into next weekend and we could see near record highs Thursday through Saturday.
