7:21Now PlayingThe weekend will bring clusters of showers and storms, along with an isolated severe threat. Our first round of storms will move in from north to south overnight into early Saturday morning. Isolated severe storms will be possible, so it’s important to have a way to receive weather warnings.
As this line of storms moves into metro it will be weakening, and we should be dry by 11 AM. Heavy rain and gusty wind will be the primary threats, but a tornado, especially north and west of Atlanta, will be possible.
Sunshine will return Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid 80s. On and off showers and storms will be possible on Sunday as well starting in the morning and continuing into the early evening. If you have any Sunday plans or grad parties, you may want to have a backup indoor plan just in case. While it won’t be a washout, bring the umbrella and have the First Alert Weather App to be notified of rain and storms in your area.
