8:15Now PlayingAfter a gorgeous afternoon, expect quiet skies overnight with morning lows back in the 50s and lower 60s across North Georgia with lower humidity remaining in place. So a comfortable start for your Saturday. A few morning showers are possible in extreme North Georgia.
Unfortunately, the holiday weekend brings some changes, especially for the mountains. Clouds will start to build tomorrow morning and mostly cloudy skies will continue through the day with highs climbing into the low to mid-80s. In the mountains, highs will only top out in the low to mid-70s.
A few isolated showers will be possible tomorrow afternoon, but tomorrow night we will be watching for our first wave of showers and storms to move in from the west. While the timing needs some work, it looks like around and after 8 PM will be our best chance to see rain and storms. Within the storms that move in, gusty wind, heavy rain, and maybe some small hail will be possible.
