10:52Now PlayingThere are now two First Alert Weather Days for Monday and Tuesday for increased heat danger as well as potential storms. Heat indices will likely exceed 105 degrees both days for a good portion of north & central Georgia.
In addition to the heat, we do have a slight chance for passing storms for the beginning of the week as well. On Monday, what storms do develop could be on the strong to severe side with strong winds and large hail. Most of our area is under a Level 1 of 5 risk for severe weather Monday afternoon.
Heat levels do decrease a bit into mid-week thanks to drier air filtering in from the northeast. A more tolerable temperature pattern is expected beginning Wednesday and lingering through next weekend when rain chances begin to increase again.
