1:45Now PlayingHBCU Students: Some students who attend historically Black colleges and universities in Atlanta are struggling to make payments needed to stay in school.
A quick search reveals how much it costs to attend one of Atlanta’s four HBCUs. Tuition costs range from $31,000 at Clark Atlanta University to $56,000 at Morehouse College.
But students are getting creative, coming up with new ways to pay for college, like crowdfunding.
“I’m halfway through that goal right now and I just posted the GoFundMe two days ago. The support is amazing because I feel seen. I feel loved and I know these people believe in me,” Clark Atlanta University senior Marquan Buchanan said.
