South Downtown near Mercedes-Benz Stadium has transformed since the pandemic, with new businesses and restaurants moving into the area. Some of those businesses are looking forward to the World Cup crowd. 👀

The city of Atlanta announced a new program Tuesday designed to help small businesses prepare for an influx of visitors expected during the summer event.

The program, called “Showcase Atlanta,” will provide up to $5,000 in grants to qualifying small businesses for major events, with up to $580,000 in loans available overall. The city expects the program to help between 50 and 115 businesses.
