Ivana Elliott says she explained her religious obligation to remain covered and asked for a private intake, but her request was denied. The lawsuit, backed by CAIR-Georgia, accuses the sheriff's office of violating her First Amendment and religious rights.
The Bartow County Sheriff's Office declined to comment.
