During Black Maternal Health Week, Georgia advocates are spotlighting that disparity and the barriers that contribute to it, including bias, systemic racism and limited access to OB-GYN care in rural counties.
Community-based support through doulas, midwives and other advocates is expanding to help reduce preventable complications and deaths.
