as posted by the channel

A wildfire in Clinch County, south Georgia has exploded to more than 16,000 acres and is only 10% contained, prompting Governor Brian Kemp to declare a State of Emergency.

The Pineland Road Fire, which started April 18, is threatening 64 homes and 37 minor structures, with full containment not projected until May 31. Fire officials say the blaze is creating its own weather and wind patterns, making it extremely difficult to control. Rain is the only thing that will slow it down, officials say.
