2:51Now PlayingGovernor Brian Kemp toured scorched areas in southeast Georgia Tuesday as firefighters continue battling two massive wildfires that have burned more than 53,000 acres combined.
The Pineland Road Fire in Clinch and Echols counties has grown to 32,541 acres with 23% containment, while the Highway 82 fire in Brantley County has burned more than 21,600 acres and is only 32% contained.
Kemp said 767 fires have broken out in Georgia in the last 30 days, 85% more than the five-year average.
