as posted by the channel

A small Georgia town is without a police department after the mayor fired the entire force Wednesday following a dispute involving his wife.

Cohutta Mayor Ron Shinnick shut down the police department after officers posted what he called "inappropriate comments" on Facebook, stemming from a conflict over his wife, the town's former clerk, who was fired earlier this year for allegedly creating a hostile work environment.

Officers say the firings are retaliation. The town council wants to reinstate the department and remove the mayor, with a special meeting set for Friday.
