2:11Now PlayingTwo people from the cruise ship at the center of a hantavirus outbreak arrived in Atlanta Monday morning in full-body protective gear and were taken to Emory University Hospital's Serious Communicable Diseases Unit.
One of the two is showing symptoms while the other, a close contact, is currently asymptomatic. CDC officials say they are taking a "conservative" approach to treatment and stressed that symptoms alone don't confirm the illness.
"The system worked," said Division of Global Migration Health director David Fitter. Officials say there is no risk to the public at this time.
