2:11Now PlayingAtlanta Mayor Andre Dickens is making a fiery push for a $5.5 billion Neighborhood Reinvestment Initiative aimed at addressing decades of disinvestment in south and west Atlanta.
Among the new details unveiled this week is "Project Robin," an $800 million hospital proposal that would be Atlanta's only hospital south of I-20, in an area where life expectancy is roughly 20 years lower than in north Atlanta.
Morehouse School of Medicine has been identified as a partner for the project. The Atlanta City Council is expected to vote on the proposal June 15.
