Hunt said the agency is forming a new train patrol unit but warned riders not to expect an officer on every bus and train. Meanwhile, roughly three dozen MARTA employees and union workers protested outside headquarters, calling for more police onboard buses and trains. MARTA has until June 18 to respond to the federal audit.
"MARTA is not perfect, but we will continue to strive to go from good to great," Hunt said.
