1:06Now PlayingGeorgia's medical cannabis program just expanded. A new state law now allows licensed dispensaries to sell cannabis in flower and vape forms, and eliminates the previous 5% THC cap.
The new products are only available to Georgia medical cannabis cardholders, not the general public. Supporters say the change gives patients faster relief, while critics argue it could be a step toward recreational marijuana.
Georgia has about 35,000 medical cannabis cardholders, but more than 1 million Georgians could potentially qualify.
