FIFA subsequently lifted Balogun's one-game suspension, allowing him to play against Belgium Monday. The Belgian federation says it has not received any explanation from FIFA about the decision and is challenging Balogun's eligibility for the match.
"Regardless of the sporting outcome, the RBFA is deeply concerned by the course of events," the federation said.
