1:30Now PlayingA Lawrenceville mother was charged with second-degree murder and cruelty to children after police say she left her 1-year-old son in a hot car for approximately nine hours. Her attorney, Tom Ford, says Deja Coleman forgot the child was in the back seat after a morning daycare run and that the case is a tragic accident that should not be prosecuted as murder. Ford says Coleman was sleep deprived, living in a domestic violence shelter, and caring for three children on her own. He is questioning whether any charges are warranted.
