We explore the double homicide of Maggie and Paul Murdaugh that took place on June 7, 2021, and how it led to the homicide investigation of Steven Smith by the State Law Enforcement Division of South Carolina (Sled). We discuss the initial thought that it was a gunshot wound to the head, the autopsy ruling of a motor vehicle accident, and the lack of glass found at the scene. We also discuss the coroner's response when confronted with the evidence.
