BAIL AND CONTINUE THE TRIAL DATE GIVEN THE VOLUMINOUS LATE DISCLOSED

Myles King, 21, is charged with 1st degree M in the 7/10/21 shooting death of Marquis Simmons, 25, in Milton, MA. The case is pending in Norfolk Superior Court and involves many of the same players as the Karen Read case, including ADA Adam Lally & Former Dishonorably Discharged MSP Trooper Michael Proctor. Defendant's counsel. Rosemary Scapicchio (of Netlfix' Trial 4 Documentary) has made a Motion to Dismiss for Egregious Governmental MIsconduct, based upon the DA's failure to turn over extensive discovery until April & May 2025, less than 6 months prior to the scheduled trial date, despite having certified to the Court that all discovery had been turned over. Most of said discovery had been in the DA's possession since 2021. Myles King had been held without bail since July of 2021, but based upon this motion, was released on $10,000 cash bail on 6/2/25. Today we review the Motion to Dismiss, before the evidentiary hearing continues tomorrow, with ADA Adam Lally's continued testimony, before Judge Krupp.
