Joshua Hubert of Worcester, 35 at the time of the alleged crimes, is charged with kidnapping, attempted m*rder & r*pe of a 7 year old girl in 2017. The Commonwealth alleges Hubert, a family friend, took the girl from his best friend's house around 2:30 am after a barbeque, and drove around for an hour before throwing her off the I-290 Quinsigamond Bridge. The child was able to swim 100 yards to safety, where she knocked on a woman's door, who called police. The child told police her friend "Josh" threw her off the bridge. Injuries to the child indicated ch*king & R*pe. The defendant has been out on $50,000 bail since 2018. The R*pe charges were added in 2022, and the defendant was released on personal recognizance. Opening Statements are scheduled for today.
