On May 12, 2018, one year after its removal from a wall in East Austin, the Mama Sana Vibrant Woman mural was repainted by the original artist, "Toofly." The mural, formerly on the corner of 12th and Chicon streets, informed passersby of the nonprofit organization Mama Sana Vibrant Woman, which offers post- and prenatal care to black and Latina women at a time when U.S. maternal mortality rates have captured international attention. The new mural, located in North Austin at Alli Mexican Cuisine, will also include the non-profit's phone number for free pregnancy support.
