On Jan. 22, 2018, Interim Police Chief Brian Manley announced in a press conference that two Austin Police officers were fired due to their involvement in a use of force incident six months prior. The case is still under review by the Travis County District Attorney's office. The disciplinary decision is also expected to be appealed.
