as posted by the channel

In a Wednesday morning press conference, Austin police confirmed the identities of the two people found dead after a six-hour hostage standoff at Children's Medical Group. Police identity Dr. Bharat Narumanchi as the suspect in the case while Dr. Katherine Lindley Dodson as the victim. Narumanchi was believed to be terminally ill with cancer and was given weeks to live when he walked into the pediatric office brandishing a weapon. He took five employees hostage, including Dodson. While the hostages were either let go or escaped, Dodson was unable to do so. The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
