Those present during Monday's event included Blake Brickman, Mark Penley, and Ryan Vassar, who each testified during Paxton's impeachment trial. The men said they had filed a renewed motion to ask the Supreme Court to lift the abatement and restore their case. Doing so would return the case to district court in Travis County and possibly before a jury.
