A day before the Department of Justice was scheduled to release a report detailing failures by law enforcement in response to the Uvalde shooting in 2022, Attorney General Merrick Garland toured murals of victims of the school shooting in the Texas city.

The DOJ report is set to be released following the shooting at Robb Elementary that left 19 students and two teachers dead. It was the deadliest school shooting in Texas history. Over 370 law enforcement responded to the shooting in Uvalde, but took over 77 minutes to enter the classroom where shots were fired.
