YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRepublicans in Congress are trying to send the "Big Beautiful Bill" to the desk of President Donald Trump before the July 4 holiday, as the House is expected to vote on the bill Thursday, July 3, 2025. Among budget cuts in Trump's sweeping tax and spending bill are those to U.S. national parks, including Yosemite.
Beth Pratt, the executive director for the California branch of non-profit conservationist group National Wildlife Federation, said Trump's bill is "dismantling a lot of the National Park Service."
"I think it's an American tradition to go camping, fishing, you name it, in a national park, go hiking," Pratt said. "And how dare we mess with that?"
