Some Texas National Guard soldiers deployed to Chicago have been sent home for failing to meet fitness standards after a photo of heavyset troops went viral.

_Note: Nearly all members of the National Guard hold full-time civilian jobs, and only shift to full-time Guard work when deployed on active-duty missions. The Texas National Guard is under the control of the state until federalized, and are separate from members of the Army Reserve, which is part of the U.S. Military._
