50:23Now PlayingThis special White House event celebrates the 40th anniversary of the passage of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This event includes a host of officials from government, the education community, advocates and others to celebrate and reaffirm support for IDEA and to honor the many significant contributions that parents, teachers, service providers, administrators and so many others have made under the IDEA umbrella. More important, this celebration not only affirms the successes of the past, it provides a continued focus for the future to ensure that infants, toddlers and youths with disabilities will continue to receive a free and appropriate public education.
