7:46Now PlayingIn 1960, the BBC broadcast the documentary Reflections in a Village: Kent. Journalist and writer Jan Morris (then known as James Morris) spoke to the residents of the small village of Ickham, exploring how they were adapting to the widespread changes taking place in English society.
Resentment of the local squire, new council houses and "knobbly" local character are all prominent.
