6:13Now PlayingPattie Coldwell visits Hammersmith and West London College, where students who cycle in for their lessons have come up with a neat solution for the lack of appropriate parking for their vehicles. They have given an on-site sculpture by world-famous artist Anthony Caro a more utilitarian use by repurposing it as a bike rack.
The sculptor himself seems happy enough with this "desecration" of his piece London West when discussing the nature of his work with Pattie in his studio, but does have one or two words to say to his critics in defence of the value of his work, both financial and aesthetic.
