John Noakes is invited to take part in the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team's Glen Nevis river race, an invitation which he dutifully accepts.
It turns out that the Glen Nevis river race is effectively a treacherous, 2-mile-long white water rafting course, filled with rapids and waterfalls, where competitors use an air bed as a raft. The proceeds of the annual charity race go towards buying equipment for the volunteer rescue team.
Needless to say, don't try this at home - or on a river, for that matter.
