7:57Now PlayingBob Langley takes a dip in the pleasant waters of Worbarrow Bay, off the coast of Dorset. It's a rare treat for Langley, and indeed any civilian, because for 314 days of the year access to the beach at Worbarrow Bay is completely forbidden.
The restrictions centre on the tiny Village of Tyneham, which is just a few hundred yards away from the beach. On December 14, 1944, the residents of Tyneham left the village to be replaced by the British Army, with the understanding that they would be able to return when the war was over. They have not returned in over 35 years - Tyneham is now a ghost village.
The Tyneham Action Group are now campaigning to have the village returned to the people. Philip Taylor is the chairman of the group, a former Tyneham resident who left in 1944. He speaks to Bob Langely about the group's aims.
