Robert Reid reports on the changes taking place in village life. He revisits Iddesleigh in Devon, to see how things have changed since Special Enquiry first reported from the village in 1952. What effect have modern conveniences like running water and electricity, coupled with modern automated farming techniques, had on its residents?
Will improvements to living and working conditions encourage the younger generation to remain in Iddlesleigh? Or will the bright lights of the towns and cities lure them away?
