22:18Now PlayingA trade information film about an exciting modern extra for TV, Ceefax is Here looks at how Ceefax - the world's first teletext service - can change daily life for people in Britain. At the touch of a few buttons, people with teletext decoders can now "see facts" through their television screens - news headlines, football scores, television listings, the latest pop charts, weather forecasts, recipes, jokes, and even the latest information from the stock market.
Ceefax was officially launched back in September 1974, but as the technology becomes cheaper, and television sets with built-in decoders begin to hit the market, the BBC is banking on Ceefax to become a staple of British homes.
