The Zataari camp in Jordan hosts more than 600 000 Syrian refugees who fled the war. The vast majority of the people in that camp came from the border town of Daraa, just 40 km away from the camp. Running a camp as big as a large town has its challenges. One big issue facing aid workers is theft and the sale of black market goods: according to some reports all sorts of goods, including medicines, tents, and even electricity, are being diverted, traded and sold on a large scale from within the camp.
