Victoria Balch told the Victoria Derbyshire programme that despite being conscious during the initial impact, she eventually fainted and had to be woken by Daniel Thorpe, who was also on the ride.
The crash left them and 14 other people trapped 25ft (7.6m) above the ground. She waited for over four hours to be rescued, and said at times she believed she would not survive.
