6:47Now PlayingUS Secretary of State Antony Blinken has met with China’s President Xi Jinping in Beijing, as part of efforts to shore up relations between the two countries.
But, while the China-US relationship is beginning to stabilise, but it is still being tested by "negative factors", Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
Blinken’s visit to China comes days after a law that would force Chinese-owned TikTok to sell the video app or be banned in the US was passed.
It is also expected that US officials will raise China’s support for Russia during Blinken's visit, with reports stating that Washington is prepared to act against Chinese companies that have been helping retool and resupply Russia's defence industry, aiding them in their invasion of Ukraine.
