He was arrested on January 15 on charges of insurrection for a failed martial law order on 3 December that plunged the country into turmoil.
Lawyers for the president said he would not take part in any further questioning due to ill health.
Meanwhile the constitutional court is holding a hearing to decide whether to permanently remove him from office or reinstate his powers.
