The opportunities to "strengthen our security and cut the cost of living" are "simply too big to ignore", he added, announcing that a summit with EU partners will occur in the near future.
In the coming weeks, he said he will announce a new summit with EU partners designed to forge partnerships in a "dangerous world".
It has come following Donald Trump's repeated criticisms of the UK and European allies in response to the war.
