To investigate resonance, Dr Yan uses a violin to show that if you play just the right note, you can shatter a wine glass with sound.
Yan also shows that different materials have different resonant frequencies. Although a very high note will shatter a wine glass, you'll need a very low note to shatter a pane of glass like the one in the clip.
