The peer in question – Lord Ahmed of Rotherham – denies the allegations against him.
Another peer, Lord Carlile – who’s a barrister and former deputy high court judge – says if the allegations that have been made are true, and he had a sexual relationship with a vulnerable woman who came to him for help, it’s “disgraceful”.
