This was the day after Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar called on the prime minister to go.
Asked by Vicki Young whether she thinks Keir Starmer has come close to resigning in recent days, she said: “No, no, I don’t, I know Keir really well, I’ve worked with him for a long time… He fought really hard to be the leader of the Labour Party and to win the general election and he feels that sense of responsibility and duty to the country very, very deeply.”
Baroness Chapman, a Foreign Office minister, was joined in the studio by Sir Jake Berry from Reform UK and Matthew Syed from The Times.
