Speaking on the Today programme, the BMA's Dr Jack Fletcher says the planned industrial action over pay and jobs is “regrettable”.
When pushed by Emma Barnett on why resident doctors are striking for the 15th time in a three-year time period, Fletcher said the pay deal offered by the government was asking the union to “commit to real terms pay cuts” and highlighted the number of doctors leaving the profession.
