Some migrants are being encouraged to fabricate domestic abuse allegations by legal advisers.
A BBC undercover reporter met an adviser called Eli Ciswaka, Ciswaka has denied being willing to make up a story that the undercover reporter had been a victim of domestic abuse.
Asked about the immigration system generally, Green Party peer Jenny Jones said: “We need immigration... This is about actually encouraging people to come in who can contribute to our society and help us – be our carers, be our doctors, be our teachers.”
Politics Live presenter Vicki Young was also joined by Labour MP Henry Tufnell and Conservative peer Mark Harper.
